What's Leftover?

Raindrops in driveway cracks after the night.
Sounds of the washing maching machine turning to on.
Text message from yesterday.
Black sunflower seed shells beneath the bird feeder.
Pants, shirt and Amalia's purple  boots passed on.
Light after the darkness.
2012 yesterday's thoughts now today.
You and Me.
That's what's leftover.

What's Leftover

I.  I am Leftover and it feels good.  Without a direction,
without a thought, without a place to go, without a
"thing" to do, I am.  And I am happy about it.
Not bad a feeling for the day.  Not a bad place
"to be" for the ending of the year.  Not a care in
this moment.  And that is what I am wishing for everyone
and for those I love!  No more.  No less.  That's what's
leftover for NOW.

What's Leftover?

I asked Santa in December of 2011 to send me more love than I could  imagine.  So he did.  His name is Thomas Aquinas Cahill.  Together, with Tom, I have twice as much love to give and twice as much of myself to share!  So thank you Santa Claus!  Love from Penny Cahill-Sinone
